Artificial Intelligence

Advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning are making it possible to automate knowledge-worker tasks that have long been regarded as impossible or impractical for machines to perform. *

Expected time frame for this is 2018–2020, but we have already seen some impact. Five million jobs will be eliminated by 2020 because of advances in AI and other technology. At the same time amount of (unstructured) data is growing at an exponential rate.

Companies that can exploit the growing potential of data masses, and that do so effectively with using artificial intelligence technologies, will gain competitive edge compared to everyone else.

elinar artificial intelligence

Elinar is taking Enterprise Content Management (ECM) to the next level. We’re leveraging advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) methodologies to create greater, even disruptive, value-add from existing content-centric processes. We are consolidating all our prior developments and capabilities under the Elinar.ai brand. This will make our AI offerings more distinguishable and accessible to our customers and technology partners.

Artificial intelligence combined with ECM enables new possibilities with content management.

Our artificial intelligence development is done under one name that we call Elinar.ai.

For the first time in history, we are in a situation where computers are capable of programming themselves. The role of the AI architect now focuses more on suggesting how neural networks should be organized. How to train systems, rather than giving explicit sets of commands to machines. Actual programming (that is, learning) is done by the software itself.

This is a huge shift in mindset: the computer programmer has become a coach.

Elinar.ai is a fully integrated mix of AI and ML technologies, including IBM Watson, IBM BigInsights, and a large number of Elinar-developed AI solutions that augment our upstream vendor solutions. Currently, Elinar supports several major AI frameworks, including:

  • Caffe
  • Torch
  • Theano
  • MXNet

Investments in IBM PowerAI

Elinar has begun to invest heavily in PowerAI. PowerAI is a game-changing platform from IBM. It enables agile companies to develop AI solutions with specialized hardware consisting of IBM Power8 processors linked with NVidia Tesla P100 computing accelerators. They utilize an ultra-fast and low-latency NVLink bus.

PowerAI speeds up the development of advanced AI solutions by a significant factor.

Our investments in specialized hardware allow us to sell both our Elinar AI expertise and the raw computing power needed for AI development in a single, easy-to-approach package.

Deep Analytics

Deep Analytics is one example of what we can currently offer with AI technologies.

Key business benefits include

  1. Understanding complex business issues that cannot be solved with traditional analytics.
  2. Developing and managing business at a deep level in real-time.
  3. Getting to use your various kinds of business data better than ever before.

Organizations have vast amounts of data available to them. Traditional analytics is the first phase of making use of this data, but you can achieve even more business benefits through Deep Analytics.

Many organizations are now entering the era of analytics. A large number of so-called “analytical” solutions have surfaced in the past few years. “Analytics” is a term vendors are widely using in creative, yet misleading ways. Suddenly, traditional business reporting has become “analytics” in order to follow industry mega trends. However, many of those vendors have not been able add real analytical capabilities to their product sets.

Deep Analytics is closely related to deep learning. This is machine-based learning that approaches the human level of the understanding of concepts, and in many ways resembles human cognitive processes.

Traditional business intelligence (BI)-derived analytics should be called “surface” analytics due its capability to only reveal information that, though it may appear hidden, still resides in just the apparent top layer of data.

Deep Analytics, on the other hand, will mine your data, discover truly hidden meanings in there, and make these insights available to traditional BI solutions, like Cognos BI, for further processing.

Elinar Deep Analytics uses the IBM BigInsights Hadoop cluster to intake all your data, pre-process it, and make it available for deep analytical queries.

How Elinar Deep Analytics works?

From the beginning, we meet your needs for analytical computing. We integrate all your organization’s data points (CRM, customer documents etc.) into a Hadoop analytics system.  Hadoop is optimized for saving and operating large masses of data more efficiently. In this case, it integrates all your company’s data with the various systems your company uses. It consolidates all your files.

We have linked Hadoop analytics with a semantics engine.  This engine understands how words behave in context with each other. Together Hadoop and the semantics engine allow real-time analytics and create a system that is capable of deep learning. This kind of dynamic analytics allows for completely different utilization of big data. This yet again translates to unprecedented business benefits for you.

So let’s get through this once more:

  1. We integrate your company’s systems with Hadoop analytics.
  2. Hadoop is linked with a semantics engine.
  3. Now you can use your company data in real-time, self-learning, Deep Analytics. This enables you to understand and manage your business better than ever.
